Right, time for a quick update as it's almost 1200 on Sunday and I'm just
about to head off to the airport.
What, I hear you cry. (ok, maybe not.) Well, I started with Oracle, and went
to the class down at Redwood Shores (between San Francisco and San Jose). Whilst
there I was taken onto a project down in New Orleans for a few weeks. This means
that I have to be there for first thing Monday morning, so I have to leave Sunday
lunchtime. I also don't get back until late Friday. I'll say more about it later.
The big news is that the house is all agreed. We got it at $176k, which is
well less than they were originally asking. The guy who inspected it reckoned
we'd got a great deal at he second asking price of $180k, and I didn't like
to tell him we'd paid less than that. We close at he end of July and should
move in around early August. We're paid up in the rental house until the end
of August, so there is no hurry to move. We'll spend the first few days cleaning
and getting some stuff sorted, like a fridge and carpet in the family room.
We're all just so excited and thrilled to be getting our own home.
Ok, all I have time for. Time to head for the airport. I don't have to go back
until Monday next week because of the holiday, so I'll have time to write more
I hope.
