Well I've decided to have a weekly page where I discuss the latest happenings in and around our lives. Let's see how long it lasts.

Things are just ticking over in our lives. I had a visit to the dentist on Friday to have a look at a sore tooth. Turns out to be the gums more than the tooth, which is fine. We'll have to get the kids looked at too.

Colin had his try-outs for the soccer on Saturday, but he got so soaked at the morning session that it put him off and he didn't go to the afternoon session. He also didn't go to either of the Sunday sessions. Huh, kids.

Preparations are ongoing for Catriona's first Communion next week, making banners, shopping for shoes etc. She's quite looking forward to it, but I'm not convinced that she's really ready for it.

The excitement last weekend was that Celtic won the Scottish Premier League championship. We got Fox Sports World just in time to see them get there. Just to rub it in we saw Hearts beat Rangers in the cup yesterday. Ah, it gladdens the heart to see the Evil Empire with nothing to put on the trophy shelf this season. A fitting end to Walter Smith's reign as I feel that he's really taken them down from the fine team he inherited. Roll on next season.

We've thought about moving out of the apartment and have looked at a couple of rental houses. My, what a bunch of c**p. As luck would have it, our dentist is looking to move out of her rental house into her mother's house (she's moving elsewhere) and is looking for someone to take over her lease. She's got a fairly nice house, not much bigger, but it has a yard and a garage, so it would give the kids somewhere to play. We'll see when the time comes.

Out in the world much comment is being made about this guy who blew his brains out on the freeway, which was shown live on tv. Some are saying that it was too much to show on tv, especially when they interrupted some cartoons to show it. Others are saying that it's their right to be able to see it on tv. On the Tom Leykis show, one caller argued that as this was real life, then it should be shown on tv. Paedophilea is also part of real life (unfortunately, but true none the less), should that be shown on tv as well?
